Boardcrafter Design v1.0.1 is now available for download. This release addresses two bugs described in the release notes. The old software keys for v1.0.0 will still function for this bug fix release so re-registration of the software is not required.

How did the base turn out for you with the reverse mold setup? Would you use that technique again?

Turned out 'ok'. You can't really see it, but there are four small wooden blocks, two on each side (you can see one next to my left knee, right inline with my left hand). It was a last minute decision but they were to prevent the materials from moving around while being pressed. Made the mistake in not cutting them the right height so the vacuum did not do a great job in presssing in those 4 areas. Something that will be fixed the next time. Other than that, I was very satisfied.

Another note. After taking it out of the vacuum we made a 'quick n dirty' oven and heated it up for ~12 hours. Got this idea from our friend next door who does it for surf boards. The heat source was a oil filled radiator style heater.

Do you have the rest of the pictures? I also am going to try the vacuum bag method.

Thanks,
