With Boardcrafter Design’s ability to print snowboard templates at 1:1 scale using a standard printer and the introduction of the free shapes library the need for preprinted templates has been eliminated.

The snowboard templates previously available in the Boardcrafter shop have been removed. The shop still provides component snowboard materials and software registration keys.

Thanks Jason!

Here are the stats on the one I use:

Length: 8 feet
Height: 1 foot
Mold Surface Width: 2 feet (inside)

The outer walls are MDF and all the framing is 2x4s except for the slats that hold the inner mold ribs which are 2x3s (but 2x4s should work too).

The spine is made of pine lath that has been ripped in half and stapled to aluminum screen. I used tile spacers when I made it to keep the space between each lath piece consistent.

The surface is polycarbonate (aka Lexan). Don't try to use an Acrylic (aka Plexiglass) because it's too brittle. If you choose to have the same surface as I do have the supplier cut it to size for you. Polycarbonate is very dangerous to route because it partially melts and grabs the router bit which can result in hand/wrist injuries.

I hope this helps. Let me know if you want any other specifics.

Dante,

How many bolts are you running on both sides with the angle iron to clamp down lexan?

Does anyone still post here?

I have a question about your PDF, Jason: In the materials list, it says
"Crown Bolt LLC 1 1/2" X 4' Long
Slotted Angle (4 Req'd)"

Now, is the piece I need four of a "Crown Bolt LLC 1 1/2" X 4' Slotted Angle," or is the Crown Bolt just a huge bolt?

What exactly would I use a four-foot long bolt for in this mold anyhoo?
