I'm trying to avoid a based grind with the board I'm building now. I will mask the base with the same vinyl I use for the topsheet. After layup I plan to peel away the masking and wet stand the base with a sanding block... This is an experiment so I have no idea how it's going to turn out but I'll post some pictures or video when I'm done.

What there isn't a local place to get a base grind and stone grind on my board? Is there anyway to do this yourself?
